Doctors test which emergency clot treatment is safer
NCT ID NCT07003646
Summary
This study aims to compare two emergency treatments for severe blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism) to see which leads to fewer serious bleeding events and deaths. Researchers will follow 220 patients across Nordic countries who receive either standard clot-busting medication or newer catheter-based procedures. The goal is to gather real-world evidence on which approach provides better safety and recovery for this life-threatening condition.
