Summary

This study tested a new device called the Vertex Pulmonary Embolectomy System in 10 adults with pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs). The goal was to see if the device could safely remove clots and reduce strain on the right side of the heart. Participants had the procedure within 14 days of symptoms, and doctors measured heart changes and side effects up to 48 hours later.
