First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a new CT scan method that creates a map of blood flow in the lungs to diagnose pulmonary embolism (blood clots). Researchers compared this new technique to the standard scan in 30 patients. The goal was to see if the new method is accurate and could provide both clot location and blood flow information in one test.
