First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested a procedure called pulmonary artery denervation (PADN) for people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a serious lung condition. 128 adults received either the real procedure or a sham operation. The main goal was to see if PADN safely improves how far patients can walk in 6 minutes. Results showed some benefit in walking distance and blood pressure in the lungs, but PAH remains a chronic condition requiring ongoing management.
