New pill aims to quiet vulvar pain in women

Summary
This study tests a single dose of the drug pudafensine to see if it reduces pain in women with provoked vestibulodynia, a type of vulvodynia. Twenty-four women will receive either the drug or a placebo in random order. The goal is to measure changes in pain threshold in the vaginal area.
