NCT ID NCT06957067

First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at how to best help veterans with PTSD who are struggling with a common therapy called Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). It compares two approaches: either helping them stick with CPT and improve their skills, or switching to a different therapy called Present Centered Therapy (PCT). The goal is to see which approach reduces PTSD symptoms, depression, and dropout rates. The study will enroll 280 veterans and also explore ways to identify who needs extra support.
