Can writing heal teen trauma? new study tests faster therapy
NCT ID NCT07498257
Summary
This study aims to adapt and test a shorter therapy for teens with PTSD. Researchers will first adjust a proven adult therapy called Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for people aged 12-18. Then, they will compare this adapted 5-7 session therapy to the current standard 12-16 session treatment in 48 teens to see if it works just as well and is acceptable.
