New hope for veterans: combined therapy may cut PTSD and suicide risk

Summary
This study compares two treatments for veterans with PTSD who are at high risk for suicide. One group gets a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and a special PTSD therapy (DBT PE), while the other gets standard care. The goal is to see which approach better reduces suicidal behavior and PTSD symptoms. About 125 veterans will take part, and the study also looks at how easy or hard it is to use these treatments in VA clinics.
