First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a 10-week group program called START for 45 veterans with PTSD who had not responded to other treatments. The program aimed to help them reduce their use of safety behaviors (like always carrying a weapon or avoiding certain places) and see if that lowered their PTSD symptoms. Researchers measured changes in PTSD diagnosis, symptom severity, and satisfaction with the program.
