Summary
This study aimed to understand how common post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is among adults with type 1 diabetes. Researchers surveyed 297 adults to see if their diabetes diagnosis or experiences with severe low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) were linked to PTSD symptoms. The goal was to measure the prevalence of this mental health condition in this specific patient population.
