First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at how the brain processes threats in people with PTSD. Researchers will use a gentle electrical current (tACS) to see if it can calm overactive brain areas linked to anxiety and hypervigilance. The goal is to understand the brain's role in PTSD and test a potential new treatment. 160 adults with PTSD, aged 18-50, are needed.
