First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study looked at how often patients and their relatives develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after a sudden cardiac arrest. Researchers interviewed 40 people (20 survivors and 20 relatives) within one week and again three months later using standard questionnaires. The goal was to measure acute stress and long-term PTSD, helping doctors better understand the emotional impact of these events.
