First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special exercise program, guided by a physical therapist, can improve strength and walking ability in people with myotonic dystrophy type 2 (DM2). About 24 adults with DM2 will be split into groups that exercise with a therapist either once or twice a week, or on their own. The study lasts 6 months and measures muscle strength, walking distance, and muscle composition using a painless device.
