First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special exercise routine, done with or without a physical therapist's guidance, can improve muscle strength and walking ability in people with myotonic dystrophy type 2. About 24 adults will be randomly assigned to different schedules of supervised and home-based exercise over 6 months. Researchers will measure changes in muscle function and composition using simple tests and a painless electrical scan.
