First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests two psychological treatments—Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpretation Bias Training (IBT)—to reduce severe irritability in children aged 8 to 17 with Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD). Participants may choose one or both therapies. CBT involves 12-16 weekly talk therapy sessions with a parent, while IBT uses computer exercises to change how children interpret facial expressions. The goal is to help kids manage anger and improve daily life.
