Mind over itch: can therapy help dialysis patients?
NCT ID NCT07370961
Summary
This small, completed pilot study explored whether adding structured psychological support to standard medical care could help ease severe, chronic itching in people receiving kidney dialysis. Sixteen stable adult patients with moderate-to-severe itching were randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus psychological sessions. The main goal was to see if this combined approach improved patients' quality of life related to their itching after six months.
