First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding psychological coaching to standard care helps people who are emotionally vulnerable recover better after surgery for a broken shoulder. About 70 adults with a recent shoulder fracture and high levels of neuroticism will receive cognitive behavioral therapy alongside usual treatment. The goal is to see if this improves shoulder function and reduces pain.
