Mind-Altering therapy tested for youth Self-Harm
NCT ID NCT06798636
Summary
This early-stage study is exploring a new approach to help young people (aged 16-25) who struggle with self-harm. Researchers want to see if giving a very low, non-hallucinogenic dose of the psychedelic psilocybin can make a specific mental imagery therapy more effective. The goal is to see if this combination can help reduce the vivid, negative mental images and emotions that often drive self-harm behavior.
