New drug trial aims to tame painful joint and skin condition

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental drug called JNJ-88545223 can help control the symptoms of active psoriatic arthritis. About 240 adults with this condition will receive either the drug or a placebo for 16 weeks to see if it reduces joint swelling, tenderness, and skin plaques. The main goal is to see if the drug helps at least half of participants achieve a 50% improvement in their arthritis symptoms.
