Ending the guesswork: new study aims to match psoriasis patients to the right drug faster

NCT ID NCT05270733

First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to find gene markers that can predict how well a person with psoriasis will respond to certain drugs, so doctors can choose the best treatment from the start instead of trying different ones. About 56 adults with plaque psoriasis will try two FDA-approved drugs for 8 weeks each. Researchers will take blood and skin samples to look for patterns that separate responders from non-responders.
