New psoriasis pill aims to stop the itch and boost confidence

NCT ID NCT05701995

Summary

This study tested whether a medication called deucravacitinib could improve the daily life and well-being of people living with plaque psoriasis. It involved 180 adults with moderate-to-severe psoriasis who were already candidates for systemic treatment. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the active drug or a placebo for 16 weeks to see which group reported better quality of life, less itching, and clearer skin.
