New scan aims to sharpen prostate cancer detection before surgery
NCT ID NCT04745871
Summary
This study is testing a new type of imaging scan called PSMA PET/CT to see if it can more accurately detect whether prostate cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes. It involves men with intermediate or high-risk prostate cancer who are scheduled for surgery to remove their prostate. The goal is to see if this scan provides better information than current standard tests, which could help doctors plan more precise surgical treatment.
