New scan could spare Low-Risk prostate cancer patients from unneeded biopsies

Summary
This study is testing a new way to use PSMA PET/CT scans to better decide which men with low-risk prostate cancer can safely choose active surveillance (monitoring instead of immediate treatment). About 200 men with early-stage prostate cancer will get a special scan, and researchers will check how well the scan finds hidden aggressive cancer. The goal is to reduce unnecessary biopsies and treatments while keeping patients safe.
