New scan could spot hidden prostate cancer spread before surgery

Summary
This study tests a special PET/CT scan that uses a radioactive tracer to find prostate cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes. It involves 380 men with newly diagnosed high-risk prostate cancer who are planning to have their prostate removed. The goal is to see how accurate this scan is compared to standard tissue analysis after surgery.
