Magic mushrooms in chocolate tested as potential OCD treatment

Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether psilocybin, the active compound in certain mushrooms, can help control symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Thirty adults with moderate-to-severe OCD will receive psilocybin in chocolate pieces at different doses over several weeks. Researchers will monitor safety and see if the treatment reduces OCD symptoms and improves quality of life.
