Summary
This study looked at whether psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) alone or combined with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can help people with major depression. 60 adults who were already on standard antidepressants took part. The goal was to see if these treatments could improve mood, reduce anxiety, and change certain brain and body markers. Results are being analyzed.
