Magic mushroom compound may lift depression in lung cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether psilocybin, a substance from certain mushrooms, combined with talk therapy can safely help treat major depression in people with non-small cell lung cancer. About 10 participants will receive the drug and be monitored for side effects, suicidal thoughts, and satisfaction with treatment. The goal is to see if this approach is acceptable and effective for easing depression in this group.
