Magic mushroom compound tested for Women's chronic pain

NCT ID NCT06988319

Summary

This is a small, early-stage study to see if it's safe and practical to test psilocybin (the active compound in 'magic mushrooms') for women with chronic pelvic pain that hasn't responded to standard treatments. Fifteen women will receive a single moderate dose of psilocybin along with supportive therapy sessions. The main goal is to check if the study process works and to gather initial safety information, not to prove the treatment is effective yet.
