Fresh blood plasma vs gel injection: which eases knee pain better?

NCT ID NCT04937998

Summary

This study aims to see which of two common knee injections works better for reducing pain from arthritis behind the kneecap. Researchers will compare a single injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP, made from a patient's own blood) against a single injection of hyaluronic acid (HA, a gel-like lubricant). They will follow 166 adults with this condition for up to two years, measuring their pain, knee function, and quality of life.
