Own blood injection tested to boost Women's sex lives

NCT ID NCT05769283

Summary

This study tested whether injecting a concentrated part of a person's own blood, called platelet-rich plasma (PRP), into the vaginal wall could improve sexual satisfaction and function. 52 sexually active women were randomly assigned to receive either the PRP injection or a placebo (saltwater) injection. Researchers compared the two groups using questionnaires about sexual function over six months to see if the PRP treatment made a difference.
