Blood plasma treatment could speed recovery from painful anal condition

NCT ID NCT07248007

Summary

This study is testing whether injecting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into surgical wounds can help them heal faster after anal fistula surgery. Researchers will compare 70 patients who receive PRP injections with those who don't, measuring how quickly wounds close and how much pain patients experience. The goal is to find a way to shorten the typical 6-10 week recovery period and help people return to normal activities sooner.
