Blood plasma injections tested to restore lost sense of smell
NCT ID NCT07473830
Summary
This study is testing whether injections of platelet-rich plasma (made from a person's own blood) can improve smell function in adults who have persistent smell loss not caused by tumors. Participants will receive three injections over four weeks and have their smell function measured at 3 and 6 months. The goal is to see if this treatment can meaningfully improve smell ability and quality of life for people with age-related or injury-related smell disorders.
