Own blood used to ease hip pain from cartilage tears

NCT ID NCT06332352

Summary

This study tested if a concentrated dose of a patient's own blood platelets, called platelet-rich plasma (PRP), could help people with a painful tear in their hip cartilage (labrum). Thirty adults under 50 who had not improved with other treatments received a PRP injection into their hip. Researchers tracked their pain levels and hip function for one year to see if the treatment provided relief.
