New hope for aching knees? PRP shot plus simple exercises tested

NCT ID NCT07307118

Summary

This study tested whether a single injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the knee, followed by a 6-week program of home exercises, could improve leg strength and reduce pain in women with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers measured participants' hip and knee strength, as well as their pain during activity, over a 12-week period. The goal was to see if this combined approach could help manage the symptoms of this common form of arthritis.
