Faster proton therapy tested for Hard-to-Treat skull tumors
NCT ID NCT05861245
Summary
This trial is testing a shorter, more convenient proton therapy schedule for people with rare, slow-growing tumors at the base of the skull called chordomas and chondrosarcomas. Instead of the standard treatment lasting many weeks, this approach delivers the radiation in just 5 sessions. The main goals are to see if this shorter schedule effectively controls the tumors and to carefully monitor side effects and quality of life.
