Precision proton beams target rare bone tumors
NCT ID NCT01346124
Summary
This study is testing a more precise form of proton radiation therapy, sometimes combined with surgery, to control rare bone tumors in the spine, tailbone, and base of the skull. The goal is to see if this advanced technique can better target the cancer while reducing damage to healthy surrounding tissues. Researchers will track how well the treatment controls the tumor and monitor side effects over many years.
