Can a plant protein shake mimic meat? science investigates

NCT ID NCT07121010

Summary

This study aims to understand how animal-based and plant-based protein shakes affect the body's metabolism and immune system signals. Healthy adults will drink three different high-protein smoothies on separate visits, and researchers will measure changes in their blood. The goal is to see if adding a specific amino acid (leucine) to a plant-based shake makes the body respond more like it does to an animal-based shake.
