Scientists hunt for blood clues to spot deadly lung condition

NCT ID NCT05340023

Summary

This study aims to find a specific pattern of proteins in the blood that could help doctors diagnose a rare but serious lung disease called chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). Researchers will enroll 120 patients who are already scheduled for a heart catheterization to check for CTEPH. They will compare the blood protein patterns of patients who are confirmed to have CTEPH with those who have other conditions or no disease at all.
