Summary
This study tested if adding a protein supplement to an alternate-day fasting diet helps young men with overweight or obesity. For four weeks, participants fasted every other day, eating only one small meal. Researchers checked if the protein helped them lose more fat while preserving muscle mass, and if it improved blood sugar and blood pressure.
