Protein power: can a simple drink fight Chemo-Related muscle loss?
NCT ID NCT07114588
Summary
This study is testing whether a high-protein nutritional drink can help cancer patients maintain muscle strength and feel less tired during chemotherapy. About 57 adults aged 40+ who are receiving chemo and showing early signs of muscle loss will be randomly assigned to either receive the protein drink three times a day for 8 weeks or continue with their usual care. Researchers will measure changes in grip strength, fatigue levels, and overall quality of life over 12 weeks to see if the nutritional support makes a difference.
