Robotic 'Test-Drive' foot aims to cut falls for veterans with amputations
NCT ID NCT05473065
Summary
This study is testing a special robotic prosthetic foot that can mimic different commercial feet. The goal is to let veterans with below-knee amputations quickly 'test-drive' various foot designs in a clinic to see which one gives them the best stability and confidence, potentially reducing their risk of falls. Researchers will compare how well this short lab test predicts outcomes when veterans wear the actual prosthetic feet at home for a week.
