New study aims to take the guesswork out of prosthetic fit for amputees

Summary

This study looks at how well a prosthetic leg socket fits people who have a below-knee amputation. Researchers will measure the movement between the socket and the leg while participants walk and do other tasks. Twenty volunteers will test three different suspension systems during one lab visit. The goal is to help doctors and prosthetists choose the best fit for each person.
