Scientists use special X-Ray to see inside walking prosthetic legs
NCT ID NCT05287646
Summary
This study aims to understand how a prosthetic leg socket moves against a person's residual limb during activities like walking. Researchers will use a special, high-speed X-ray system to precisely measure bone and skin movement inside the socket while participants walk on a treadmill. The goal is to gather detailed information that could help improve prosthetic design and fit, potentially reducing pain and skin problems for people with leg amputations.
