First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study is testing a new type of MRI scan (without a probe in the rectum) to see if it can accurately find aggressive prostate cancers in men with intermediate or high-risk disease. About 258 men who are planning to have their prostate removed will get this MRI first. The goal is to reduce unnecessary biopsies and better identify cancers that need treatment.
