Summary

This study looked at how much of the antibiotic ertapenem gets into prostate tissue after a single dose given before surgery. Twenty men with an enlarged prostate who needed surgery took part. The goal was simply to measure the drug's concentration in the prostate, not to treat or cure any disease.
