Targeted blitz on early prostate cancer spread shows promise
NCT ID NCT02274779
Summary
This study tested if an aggressive combination of high-dose, targeted radiation and hormone therapy could control prostate cancer that had spread to only a few nearby lymph nodes. It involved 74 men whose cancer returned after initial treatment but was still limited. The goal was to see if this intensive approach could delay the cancer's return for a longer period.
