Radioactive drugs tested to shrink tumors before prostate surgery

NCT ID NCT06881823

Summary

This study aimed to test two new radioactive drugs (AAA602 and AAA802) in men with high-risk prostate cancer that had not spread far. The drugs were given before surgery to remove the prostate, with the goal of killing more cancer cells and lowering the chance of the cancer coming back. The trial was designed to first find safe doses and then see if the drugs improved outcomes compared to having surgery alone, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
