New 'Tumor-Seeking' radiation therapy tested for prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT04443062
Summary
This study tested a new type of targeted radiation treatment for men whose prostate cancer has spread to just a few places in the body but still responds to hormone therapy. It aimed to see if this treatment, which delivers radiation directly to cancer cells, could better control the disease and delay its progression compared to the current standard of care. The trial involved 58 participants who were randomly assigned to receive either the new treatment or standard therapy.
