New surgical technique aims to speed recovery after prostate cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07417475

Summary

This study compared two different ways of performing robotic surgery for prostate cancer. It looked at 200 men to see if a newer method, called the HOOD technique, helps patients regain bladder control faster after surgery than the standard method. The main goal was to measure how quickly men stopped leaking urine after their catheter was removed, checking at several points up to 12 weeks after the operation.
