New robotic surgery technique aims for faster recovery after prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT07305142

Summary

This study compared two different ways of performing robotic surgery to remove the prostate for cancer. Researchers wanted to see if a newer, combined surgical approach led to better early recovery of bladder control and fewer complications than the standard method. Sixty men with prostate cancer were randomly assigned to receive one of the two surgical techniques.
